Rock out with Elvis as he delivers a classic medley of hits that define an era
In 1974, Elvis Presley performed a classic rock medley during a live concert at the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis, Tennessee. The medley included some of his biggest hits and classic rock and roll songs of the era.
The medley began with Elvis singing a portion of Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode” before transitioning into his own hit song, “All Shook Up.” He then performed a portion of Little Richard’s “Long Tall Sally” before moving on to “Don’t Be Cruel.”
Next up was “Hound Dog,” which had the crowd on their feet and dancing. Elvis followed that up with “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On,” originally recorded by Jerry Lee Lewis, before transitioning into “Blue Suede Shoes,” originally recorded by Carl Perkins.
The medley continued with Elvis singing portions of “Heartbreak Hotel” and “Jailhouse Rock” before finishing up with a rousing rendition of “The Wonder of You.”
