Rare Photos: Elvis Presley’s Last Vacation in Hawaii, March 1977 – Must See!
Elvis Presley’s last vacation in Hawaii was in March 1977, just a few months before his untimely death. He spent time at his home in Graceland before heading to Hawaii with his girlfriend, Ginger Alden, and his entourage.
During the trip, Elvis stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel in Honolulu, where he spent much of his time relaxing by the pool and enjoying the beautiful scenery. He also went shopping for new jumpsuits to wear for his upcoming tour, which was scheduled to begin later that year.
Despite his plans for the future, Elvis’s health was clearly declining during the Hawaii vacation. He was reportedly overweight, exhausted, and suffering from a variety of health issues, including high blood pressure, glaucoma, and an enlarged colon. Nevertheless, he continued to push himself, performing a number of impromptu concerts for friends and fans.
Tragically, just a few months after returning from Hawaii, Elvis died of a heart attack at his home in Graceland on August 16, 1977. His death was a shock to the music world and to his legions of fans, who continue to celebrate his life and legacy to this day.
